Alice Nickell Coffman, 92, died at 10:30 a.m. Sun. Jan. 11, 2015 at Rosewood Care Center in Alton, IL.
She was born Sept. 24, 1922 in Alton to the late James & Cora (Ostendorph) Nickell.
Alice attended Alton schools and Shurtleff College as well as St. Louis University. She retired as Supervisor of Nuclear Medicine at St. Joseph Hospital after 22 years of service. She had been a member of the Garden Club of Illinois.
Survivors include: a son and daughter-in-law, Douglas & Gina McCormick of Bethalto, IL, a daughter-in-law, Elisa McCormick of Wood River, 4 step-daughters, Karen Coffman and Debbie Coffman-Fouts, both of Mendota, Ill., Robin Coffman of Alton and Dawn Coffman of East Alton; and 4 grandchildren, Brett McCormick, Lucky McCormick, Sharon Simpson and Nicky McCormick.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 husbands, Richard McCormick and Robert Coffman, a son, David McCormick and a brother, Stuart Nickell.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 17 at Paynic Home for Funerals.
Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
