Alexis Rae Suerig, 15, passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital in St. Louis.
Born June 30, 2009 in St. Louis, she was the beloved daughter of James and Debbie (Frizzell) Suerig.
Lexi loved life, and always had a smile on her face and a giggle to share. She was delighted when her dad teased her mom. Lexi enjoyed listening to music, watching Cardinal ball games and loved “Leave It To Beaver” reruns. She loved people and was popular at her schools, William Bedell ARC and later Roxana School District. Strolling the halls was one of her favorite things to do.
She is survived and will be missed by her parents, Jim and Debbie Suerig, and her grandma, Linda Frizzell, all of Wood River; a sister, April Suerig of Peru, IN; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, William “Bill” Frizzell and James Suerig, Sr. and Dorothy (Boyts) Suerig.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3 at Paynic Home for Funerals. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4 at LoveJoy United Presbyterian Church in Wood River, officiated by Rev. Daniel Ervin. Burial will follow at Wanda Cemetery in South Roxana.
