Ada Eileen Dunn, 93, passed away at 9:55 p.m. Friday, March 12, 2010 at Bethalto Care Center.
Born March 18, 1916 in Alton, she was the daughter of William and Lillie (Wilkins) Halton.
She married Robert Nelson Dunn in Wood River June 9, 1942. He preceded her in death in August, 1977.
For 15 years she was owner of Silver Ridge Market in East Alton. For 40 years she owned Wilshire Apartments in East Alton. She was a member of the East Alton Beautification Committee.
Survivors include her nephews, Paul (Barbara) Mihalich of Granite City, Robert Halton-Rich of Salem, Mo., Kenneth (Lauren) Rich of Macomb, Mich., and Dixson (Rachel) Rich of New Hudson, Mich.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Lucille Rich.
Visitation will be Friday, March 19 at Paynic Home for Funerals in Rosewood Heights from 10 a.m. until services at 11 a.m. Rev. Joel Lohr will officiate.
Interment will follow at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.
