Donald Floyd Wilson, 81, of East Alton, IL, died Sun. Oct. 26, 2014 at Alton Memorial Hospital ER.
He was born July 14, 1933 in Bloomington, IL to the late Charles & Lilly (Tipsord) Wilson.
On Feb. 19, 1954, he and Colleen J. Weber were married in Carpenter, IL. She survives in East Alton.
Mr. Wilson was a U.S. Air Force veteran and then worked at Laclede Steel for 24 years, retiring in 1990 as a shift foreman. He loved to be outdoors, hunting and fishing.
In addition to his wife of 60 years, he is survived by: a son and daughter-in-law, Lamont & Debra Wilson of Wood River, a daughter, Carolyn Wilson of Staunton, IL, 5 grandchildren, Steven Wells, Graham Wells, Chelsie Wilson, Zachary Wilson & Kimberly Lundell and a sister, Alice Stratton of Carlinville, IL.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 brothers.
Burial will be at a later date at Zion Cemetery in Carpenter, IL.
