“Bill” R. Dodd, 67, passed away at 12:40 am Friday, September 26, 2014 at Alton Memorial Hospital in Alton, with his family by his side.
He was born in Alton, IL on July 20, 1947 the son of the late Charles and Rosalie (Blair) Dodd.
Bill was employed at Alton Mental Health as a certified Medical Technician. He has resided in the Alton Area most of his life and attended the Main Street Baptist Church in Alton.
He is survived by his life partner, Zona May Dodd and family, Dawn & Jerry Cooley (Brianna and Brook), Shawn & Joe Yates (Nickolas and Konor), and Tony & Heather Dodd (Zach and Chase), two brothers, and three sisters.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm Sunday September 28, 2014 at Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton where funeral services will be held at 11 am Monday September 29, 2014 with Pastor Mike Porter officiating.
Burial will follow at the Upper Alton Cemetery in Alton.
Memorials may be directed to the family for expenses.
