Salle A. Wilkinson age 71 received eternal rest and peace on Monday October 7, 2013 at 11: 47 p.m. at Alton Memorial Hospital. She was born June 18, 1942 in Alton, the daughter of Gervis and Ida (Monroe) Perkins. Salle was married to Albert J. Wilkinson on July 27, 1963 in Alton. He survives.
She was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church and a member of the River Bend Red Hat Belles.She was a L.P.N. in various Nursing Homes and Home Health Agencies.
In addition to her husband of 50 years, she is survived by her daughter Lisa Wilkinson and her husband Ahsan Habib of St. Louis, MO; two sons David (Carolyn) Wilkinson of St. Charles, MO; and Michael Wilkinson of Godfrey, IL; two sisters Edna Perkins of Kansas City; and Phyllis (Henry) Moore of Alton; her brother David (Lisa) Craig of Alton; 5 grandchildren Ahmed, Amna, Ma’jidah, Lexi and Cole, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Louis Perkins, a sister, Sister Virginia M. Perkins O.S.U.
Visitation Friday from 9 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at Cathy M. Williams & Sons Funeral Home in Alton.
