Margie Sievers

Margie Ann Sievers, 70, of Jerseyville, died at 5:15 a.m., Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at the Jerseyville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Grafton on April 7, 1943, one of four children born to Lawrence Anthony & Margaret C. (Roentz) Sievers.Margie was a member of the Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Jerseyville, and her best times and memories were of family gatherings, and any opportunity that she had to participate in her favorite passion, bingo, which she did often.Surviving are her mother, Margaret Sievers of Jerseyville; her three brothers & sisters in law, Larry & Virginia Sievers of Jerseyville, Ralph & Linda Sievers of Jerseyville, and Lynn Sievers of Godfrey; five nieces and nephews and their spouses, Laurie & Scott Merle, Julie & Kevin Duggan, Dustin & Jamie Sievers, Anna & Nick Thur, and Ralph J. & Ann Sievers; along with ten great nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence A. Sievers.Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville.A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10 a.m., Saturday at the Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Jerseyville, with Father William Hembrow officiating.Burial will be in the St. Michael's Catholic Cemtery in Michael, Il.Memorials may be given to the St. Francis/Holy Ghost Catholic Schools of Jerseyville.
