Frank J. Bottorff, 85, died at 4:35 Tuesday Sep. 24, 2013 at his home with his family by his side. Born Oct. 3, 1927, in Alton, He was the son of the late Frank A. and Grace (Graham) Bottorff. He worked in the “pickle house” at Laclede Steel for 37 years before retiring in 1987. On Dec 3, 1949 he married the late Ramona “Jean” (Whitlow). He is survived by his daughter Dixie Bottorff of Cottage Hills; a son Michael Bottorff and his wife, Priscilla, of Lake of the Ozarks, Mo; three grandchildren Justin Bottorff and his wife Alicia of Wildwood,
Mo., Aaron Bottorff of Bethalto , and Patrick Bottorff of Cumberland Gap, TN. ; two great-grandchildren, Brayden and Carter; two nephews and their wives, Toby and Karen Lyons and Larry and Debbie of Arizona. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Ramona “Jean”, a brother, Harold Bernard and a niece Theresa Barnes. Visitation will be from 11:30 until time of funeral at 1:30pm Saturday Sep. 28, at Gent Funeral HomeIn Alton. Kevin Shaw will officiate. Burial will be private.
