Billy Ray Hubbert, 60, died at 1:09 p.m. Sunday, August 11, 2013 at St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL. Born June 11, 1953 in Wood River, he was the son of Dale and Bernice (Jett) Hubbert. Billy worked as a truck driver for 40 years and most recently drove for Dean’s Foods. He was an active outdoorsman and fisherman and he loved motorcycles. He was very creative and could do about anything. Surviving is his daughter, Veda Moore of Palmyra, a step-son, Dustin Ruyle (Shanna) of Auburn, IL, four grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and a brother, Gary Hubbert of Girard. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until time of memorial service at 5:00 p.m. Saturday, August 17, 2013 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Pastor Terry Cook will officiate. Burial will be private. Memorials may be made to the Macoupin County Developmental Disability in Carlinville.
