Doris J. Clutts, 86, of Cottage Hills, IL, died at 2:14 p.m. Mon. March 11, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born June 5, 1926 in Madison, IL to the late Paul Snider and Lucille (Johnson) Snider-Klug.
Doris retired from Alton Mental Health Center in the dietary department. Doris loved to crochet and do crafts.
On Dec. 6, 1945, she and Eugene F. Clutts were married in Granite City, IL. He preceded her in death in 1996.
Surviving family includes: 3 daughters and 2 sons-in-law, Phyllis & Rev. Jack Brown of Kansas, Nadine Hester of Tucson, AZ and Shelia & Steve Quertermouse of Cottage Hills, 9 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by: 2 sons, Larry & Randy Clutts, 2 granddaughters, Kristina & Francine Brown, 5 brothers, Chester, James, Sterling, Sidney and Arman Snider and a step-father, George Klug.
The family will hold a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. Thurs. Mar. 14, 2013 at the First Southern Baptist Church of Forest Homes in Cottage Hills. Burial services will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Tucson, AZ.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the American Lung Assoc. or Foundation for AIDS Research.
