Glenda Klaffer

Shipman |

On October 1, 2011, the world became a sadder place as heaven became more jubilant. Glenda Arlana Klaffer went home to be with the Lord.

Arlana was born to William Cline and Arthana Clark on March 31, 1948. They both preceded Arlana in death.

Arlana is survived by her husband of 45 years, Randall Klaffer of Shipman. She also has four surviving children, Thana Dunn and her husband Bruce of Shipman, Dana Burris and her husband Jim of Wood River, Timothy Klaffer and his wife Karen of Rockbridge, and Kimberly Hickerson and her husband Aaron of Wood River;  and six grandchildren, Ethan, Raiden, and Janan Klaffer, Ty Dunn, and Parker and Melaina Hickerson.

Arlana is also survived by her sister Brenda (John) Akers of New Castle, Ind., a sister-in-law Bonnie (Jim) Rhoades of Sparta, and a brother-in-law Ralph (Pat) Klaffer of Mendota.

Arlana was a devoted wife and mother. She was also devoted to her church as a spiritual leader and teacher to all that needed her. She will be greatly missed by all those she touched throughout the years.

Visitation will be held Monday, Oct. 3 at Paynic Home for Funerals in Rosewood Heights from 10 a.m. until time of services at 12:00 p.m.  Revs. Steve Martin Lawrence Price will officiate.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
