Linda M. Campbell, 61, died at 12:25 am Friday, September 30, 2011 at Barnes Jewish Hospital with her family by her side.

She was born on March 21, 1950 in Madison, WI the daughter of Raymond and Virginia (Petersen) Malmquist.

Linda married Timothy F. Campbell on August 7, 1976 in Madison, WI, and they renewed their vows in Godfrey on August 7, 2011, their 35 year anniversary.

She was a graduate of Drake University and worked for 18 years as an elementary school teacher in the Ferguson Florissant School District. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Alton as well the Lockhaven Country Club where she was the ladies club champion multiple times. She also served on Alton School District advisory committees, the Alton Memorial Hospital White Cross Auxiliary, PEO Chapter GG, the Alton Community Service League, and the Alton Junior League. She, and her husband, Tim, co-chaired the Mardi Gras Ball for the American Cancer Society, and she was a former board member of Pride Inc.

She is survived by her husband, Timothy; one daughter and her husband Christin and Kane Kaltenbronn, of Chicago, IL; one son and his wife Matthew and Renae Campbell of Scottsdale, AZ; two grandsons, Chase and Parker Kaltenbronn; her mother Virginia Malmquist; one sister and her husband Carol and Robert Rau of Stoughton, WI; two brothers and their wives, John and Susan Malmquist of Madison WI, and Doug and Patty Malmquist also of Madison, WI.

She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond in 1998, and a son Bryan in 2007.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey. Funeral Service will be held at the 1st Presbyterian Church of Alton at 10:30 am on Wednesday October 5, 2011 with Rev. David Crowley officiating. 

Memorials may be made to the Bryan Thomas Campbell Foundation for cancer research or the 1st Presbyterian Church of Alton.
