Helen Bosoluke, 85, passed away at 11:02 am Monday, May 2, 2011 at Alton Memorial Hospital with her beloved family by her side.
She was born on January 25, 1926 in Alton, the daughter of the late Michael and Susie (Lalik) Bosoluke.
She was a lifelong member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alton which she dearly loved and cherished. She was a dedicated and devoted employee of Owen’s Illinois Glass for 38 years and enjoyed caring for her family and gardening.
Helen lived for her family and will be missed by two brothers and a sister-in-law, Frank Bosoluke, Stanley and Sharon Bosoluke; one sister, Rosemary Bosoluke, a sister-in-law, Thelma Bosoluke; several nieces and nephews and their spouses, Rebecca and Randy Johns, Steve and Angie Bosoluke, Susan Bosoluke, Cathy Bosoluke, Julie and Ted Prehn, Joe Bosoluke, and Scott and Marcy Bosoluke; several great nieces and nephews and spouses, Patrick and Stacy Johns, Stephanie and Jay Sinclair, Andy and Jonathan Prehn, Spencer, Nick and Evan Bosoluke; several great-great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter and Steven Bosoluke, infant twin sisters, Edna and Eva Bosoluke and a sister, Catherine “Katie” Riner.
In celebration of her life, visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 am Thursday May 5, 2011 at Staten-Fine Funeral Home in Alton.
A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday May 5, 2011 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alton.
Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Alton.
Memorials may be made to the St. Mary's Church in Alton or St. Vincent DePaul Society.
