John Foutch

Moro |

John “Bob” R. Foutch, 87, passed away at 9:40 pm Sunday, December 19, 2010 at Meridan Village in Glen Carbon. 



He was born on January 1, 1923 in Broughton, IL, the son of James and Velma (Johnson) Foutch.



He married Barbara Clary on November 26, 1947 in South Roxana.  She preceded him in death.



Bob served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII.  He was a parts manager for McDonnell Douglas in St. Louis, MO.  He was a member of the Vaughn Hill Church of Christ and of the Alton VFW Post 1308.  After retirement he spent his winters in Fort Meyers, FL and his summers at the Lake of the Ozarks.



He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, John E. and Nancy Foutch of Moro; two grandchildren, Justin and Kyle Foutch both of Moro; a brother and sister-in-law, Bernard and Eunice Foutch of Moro and several nieces, nephews and cousins.


He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a brother, James Delmon Foutch and a sister, Irene Smithey. 



Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto.  Funeral services will be at 10 am on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at the funeral home with  officiating.



Interment will be at Wanda Cemetery in South Roxana with military rites given.



Memorials may be made to Autism Society or Hospice of Southern Illinois
