Frank Luna

Frank D. Luna, 77, went to be with the Lord at 6:00 pm on Monday, November 8, 2010 at the home of his daughter in Rockton, Illinois.

He was born on November 9, 1932 in Lyman, OK, the son of Homer and Dolly (Davis) Luna.

He married his beloved wife, Charlotte Ann Bunch on February 13, 1960 in Bethalto, IL. She survives. They were long-time residents of Moro, Illinois, until moving to Rockford.


Frank served his country in the National Guard and the U.S. Navy, during the Korean War. He was an Electrician at McDonnell Douglas for 37 years, retiring in 1993.


In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Angela and Brian Anderson of Center Line, MI, Alecia and Loren Conrad of Osceola, IN, and Laura and Larry Bloodworth of Rockton, IL; nine grandchildren, Rissa, Lance, Logan, Cece, Mallory, Breeanna, Danielle, Lindsey Jewel, and Trenton; one great grandson, Cameron; three sisters, Lillian Holifield, Kathy Grandy and Ann Bunch and many nieces and nephews.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Dolly, brothers Henry, Claudie, Roscoe, Bill, and sister, Beatrice.

Frank was compassionate towards others, dearly loved his wife and kids, and worshiped the Lord. He will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be from 10 to 12 pm on Saturday, November 13, 2010 at Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto. Graveside services will be at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens at 12:30 pm on Saturday.

Memorials may be made to Northern Illinois Hospice.
