Catherine Swofford, age 87, passed away, Sunday, July 4, 2010 in Pinellas Park, FL.
She was born in Crystal City, MO and moved to Florida from Alton in 2000.
She married Otis Swofford, he preceded her in death.
Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Shaffer of Pinellas Park, FL; a brother, Robert Henry of Jackson, MO; a sister, Ruth Dodson of Scottsdale, AZ a granddaughter, Pamela Shaffer; five great grandchildren, Kelly, Christi, David and Casey Shaffer and Annabella Shaffer-Cate; and two great great grandchildren, Jameson Jackson and Rianne Shaffer-Byers.
Preceded in death by her parents; husband and grandson Mark Shaffer.
Visitation will be from 11 until service time at 12 noon on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home Alton, with pastor Charles West officiating.
Burial will follow at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation or Kidney Foundation.
