Frances Ruppert, age 87, passed away at 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 20, 2010, at Blu-Fountain Manor Nursing Home, in Godfrey, Il.
She was born on January 19, 1923, in Chesterfield, Illinois, to the late Louis and Gladys (Stevenson) Wright.
Frances married Paul M. Ruppert on October 19, 1946 in Alton, Il at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. He preceded her in death
She graduated from Shipman High School in 1940 and attended Shurtliff College in Alton, Il. She was employed as a secretary for the Alton Box Board Company from 1942 to 1947; she was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Bethalto, Il. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Frances is survived by nine children; Raymond Ruppert of Denver, Co, Wayne and his spouse Debbie Ruppert of Godfrey, Il. Mary Ruppert and her spouse Paul E. Broadway of Alton, Il. Vince and his spouse Kathy Ruppert of Alton, Il. Dean and his spouse Michelle Ruppert of Bethalto. Il. Joyce Ruppert of Alton, Il. Mark Ruppert of Alton, Il. Faye Ruppert of Alton, Il. and Steve and his spouse Sarah Ruppert of Alton, Il. Seventeen grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
Visitations will be from 4 to 8 pm on Wednesday, June 23, 2010, at the Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto, Il. Funeral Mass will be at 10 am on Thursday June 24, 2010 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Bethalto, Il. Father Tom Liebler will be the celebrant.
Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto, Il.
Memorials may be made to the Building Fund of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Bethalto, Il.
