Jenny Golden

Jenny Ann Golden, 79, died at 8:39 a.m., Monday, May 17, 2010 at her residence in rural Brighton.

She was born in St. Louis, Mo. on Jan. 8, 1931, one of three children born to the late Peter & Anna (Korzchena) Jarema.A native of St. Louis, Jenny graduated from St. Elizabeth Acadmey and was a longtime resident of Florissant, Mo. where she was active in Florissant civic matters as well as the St. Ferdinand Catholic Church.  After moving to this area in 1993, she became a member of the Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Jerseyville.She married Paul Vincent Golden on Apr.27, 1957 at the St. Agnes Catholic Church in St. Louis, and they have shared and enjoyed the 53 years they have been blessed with.Surviving are her husband, Paul; a son & daughter in law, James P. & Lisa Golden of O'Fallon, Mo.; three daughters & sons in law, Paula M. & John J. Vietor of O'Fallon, Mo., Anne I. Gibbs of Columbia, Mo., and Julia R. & Deron Eudy of St. Peters, Mo.; 11 Grandchildren, Abby Golden, Victoria Smugala, Andrew Gibbs, Stephanie Vietor, Taylor Eudy, Matthew Gibbs, Elaine Gibbs, Hannah Vietor, Madison Eudy, Lesley Golden and Lorey Golden; a great granddaughter, Ava Grace Golden; a brother, Walter Jarema of Affton, Mo.She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Elizabeth Ostmann.Visitation will be from 9 a.m., Saturday until 11:15 a.m., at the Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville.Funeral procession will leave the funeral home for a 11:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at the Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Jerseyville, with Father William Hembrow officiating.Burial will be in the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis.Memorials may be given to the St. Francis/Holy Ghost Catholic Schools of Jerseyville.
