Coleen McCoy

Coleen “Coke” McCoy, 83, passed away on Sunday, May 16, 2010 at Relais Bonne Eau Hospice of Southern Illinois in Edwardsville with her family by her side.

She was born on June 23, 1926 in Fosterburg, Illinois, the daughter of Fitz Hugh Lee & Elwell (Baehr) Dodd.  

She married L. J. “Mac” McCoy on September 9, 1950 at St Matthews Catholic Church in Alton.  He survives.

Coleen was a homemaker.  She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Edwardsville. She loved to go fishing in Minnesota where her parents had a resort, travel to Brownsville, Texas and Branson, Missouri and she liked traveling with her daughter.  Most of all she loved being with her family and friends.   

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children & their spouses, James & Jeannie McCoy of Worden, Denis & Sherry McCoy of Edwardsville, Daniel Kevin & Janelle McCoy of Dorsey, David & Joann McCoy of Dorsey and Cheryl Meikamp of Edwardsville; twelve grandchildren, Shane &
