Antoinette Margaret "Jeanette" Piening, 81, passed away at 11:00 pm on Monday, May 10, 2010 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville.
She was born on February 24, 1929 in Cincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of Frank & Theresa (Lang) Duritsch.
She married August H. Piening Sr. on June 21, 1947 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He preceded her in death on March 13, 1990.
She was a homemaker, devoted mother and grandmother and a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Bethalto.
She is survived by a her children, August H. Piening and William R. Piening of Bethalto, Mary E. Greer of East Alton, Ann T. & Timothy McMahon of Creve Coeur, MO and Linda S. & Charles W. Hayes of Troy, IL; ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her brothers, Joseph, Frank, Albert, William, Gene and Edward Duritsch and a sister, Margaret "Marie" Jacober.
Services will be private at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
