Rosa Baggio, 87, died at 7:00 a.m. Saturday, May 8, 2010 at her residence. She was born July 18, 1922 in Farmese, Italy. On June 13, 1953 she married Louis P. Baggio and he preceded her in death on March 27, 1977. She was a cook for Midtown Restaurant, and she retired after 25 years as a cook for Grabners Restaurant.
Surviving are one son; Bruce L. Baggio and his wife Vicki of Godfrey. One daughter; Bianca Konuch and her husband Michael of Shell Knob, MO. Three grandchildren; Louis M. Gabriel (Laura) of Collinsville, Nicholas L. Baggio (Sara) of Godfrey and Anthony J. Baggio of Godfrey. Four great grandchildren; Cora, and Jonah Gabriel of Dayton OH and Emma and Eli Baggio of Godfrey. One brother; Tita Conti of Anzio, Italy. She was preceded in death by one grandson; Robert W. Gabriel.
Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday, May 10, 2010 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Private graveside services will be Tuesday at Benld City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers: Memorials may be made to St. Louis Children’s Hospital or to the Salvation Army.
