Anita Jan Brown, 68, passed away at 11:20 a.m. Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at her home.
Born Sept. 20, 1941 in Kennett, Mo., she was the daughter of W.H. Martin, Jr. and Dixie (Hedger) Martin.
She married Robert C. Brown Oct. 30, 1961 in Alton. He survives.
A product promotion demonstrator, she retired in 1994 after 12 years.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Alison and Adam Maguire of Rosewood Heights; a son, Robert C. Brown, Jr. of Denver, Colo.; two grandchildren, Jacob and Alex Maguire; a sister, Miriam Norman of Alton; two brothers and a sister-in-law, John W. Martin of Mountain Home, Ark. and Bruce and Paula Martin of Holiday Shores; a sister-in-law, Delores Brown of Columbia, Mo.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was precede in death by her parents.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Friday, Apr. 30 at Paynic Home for Funerals in Rosewood Heights, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 1. Cremation will follow, according to her wishes.
Inurnment will be at a later date at Upper Alton Cemetery in Alton.
