Berniece Imogene Young, 82, died at 9:45 a.m. Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at Blu-Fountain Manor in Godfrey. Born July 14, 1927 in Alton, she was the daughter of Elmer and Bessie (Williamson) Trout.
She worked for the YWCA as daycare personal. She married Herbert Edmond Young Jr. in Alton on December 28, 1946. He preceded her in death on September 19, 1994.
Surviving is a son, David E. Young and daughter-in-law, Julie Young of Wood River, three grandchildren, four great grandchildren and a close family friend, Cliff Davenport.
There will be no services. Burial will be at Upper Alton Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Alton Little Theatre. Gent Funeral Home in Alton is in charge of arrangements.
