Mary L. Patton, 88, died at 3:47 a.m. Monday, April 19, 2010 at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Alton.
Born May 19, 1921 in New Castle, PA, she was the daughter of Pasquale and Elizabeth (Dando) Peluso.
She worked for Olin Mills Studio for 26 years. She volunteered for Senior Services Plus for 16 years, loved to play bingo, enjoyed crocheting and watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball.
Surviving are three daughters; Lorraine Denison of Alton, Darlene Stewart and husband Larry of Alton and Cheryl Arnold of St. Louis, MO, one son, Maurice E. Patton Jr. and companion Jackie Fischer of Toledo, Ohio, eight grandchildren; Donald J. Denison, Lorraine Melinda Stewart, Sherry L. Patton, Maurice E. Patton III, William G. Skelton Jr., Angie, Mary and Amy Patton, six great grandchildren and one great great grandchild, a brother, Ralph S. Peluso of New Castle, PA and a sister, Christina Carungi of New Castle, PA.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Monaco. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Father Peter Donohoe will officiate. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Alton. Memorials may be made to the family.
