Virginia L. Wolff, age 94, passed away at 10:36 pm, Saturday, April 17, 2010, at her daughter’s home in Godfrey.
She was born in Christopher, IL on March 17, 1916 to Albert and Carrie Belle (Adams) Wittenborn.
Virginia married Paul Henry Wolff on February 12, 1944 in Cape Girardeau, MO.
She was a beloved wife and homemaker and took great pride in raising their three children; Jay (Patricia) Wolff, Carmen (John) Mackelden, and Marilyn (Ron) Nelson, who all survive her. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren; Lisa (Brian) Scheffel, David (Anne) Wolff, Matthew (Monica) Wolff, Julie (Scott) Cheek, Michael (Katie) Wolff, Andrew Mackelden, Thomas Mulvill, Cory (Jessi) Mulvill and Kevin Mulvill, and her great grandchildren; Danielle, Natalie, Ashley, Brendan, Jacob, Emily, Tyler, Brooke, Nathaniel, Trentan, Kane, Brady, Drew, Michael, Kaylea, Darbey, Emma, Madeline, Evan and one great-great grandson, Logan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one grandson, Bradley Jones.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 pm Wednesday April 21, 2010 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, April 22, 2010 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Godfrey with Fr. Jerry Wickenhauser celebrating.
Burial will follow at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.
Memorials may be made to the March of Dimes, 5 A’s, or Marquette Catholic High School.
