Marcella Isringhausen

Marcella Jane (Graner) Isringhausen, 80, formerly of Jerseyville passed away on Sunday, April 4, 2010 at the Nampa Care Center in Nampa, Idaho.She was a native and lifelong resident of Illinois and was moved to Idaho after surviving a stroke in May of 2003.  A stroke survivor again on Dec. 17, 2008, Marcella tried until the very end of her life to make the best of her limitations. She was a strong person and loving wife and mother.Born May 13, 1929 in Jerseyville, whe was the daughter of the late William & Tossie (Mason) Graner.  Marcella was the last surviving child of eight that were born to them. She was also preceded in death by her husband Ralph whom she married on June 11, 1947, and an infant daughter, Darlene. She is survived by a daughter & her husband, Carol & Tim Brim of Nampa, Idaho; a son & daughter in law, Dennis& Lupe Isringhausen of Loveland, Co.Ralph & Marcella farmed in Jerseyville until 1961 when they moved to Greenfield where they continued to farm.  Marcella was a homemaker until 1979, when they gave up farming and moved into town.  At that time, Mom became a "liberated woman" and started working outside the home for the first time in her married life.  She spent the next 25 years as a nurses aide, providing loving care for patients in a nursing home in Greenfield and later in Jacksonville.  Mom loved taking care of people and making sure they were comfortable so its no surprise that she was so appreciative of the care she got at Nampa Care Center for the last six years.  The caregivers loved Mom and told me so often about how much they enjoyed her sense of humor.Visitation will be from 1 p.m., until 2 p.m., Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville.Graveside services will be conducted immediatley afterwards where she will be reunited with Dad at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Jerseyville.Memorials may be given to the American Stroke Association.Goodbye Mom, we will miss you so much, but we know you are resting peacefully now.
