Jeanette Price

Jeanette M. Price, 65, died at 4:26 a.m., Monday, March 29, 2010 at her residence after a battle with lung cancer.

She was born in Jerseyville on Jan. 6, 1944, the daughter of the Henry H. & Tessie (Wayman) Bell.A 1962 graduate of Jersey Community High School, she married Robert H. Price on Sept. 17, 1964 at the Hope Lutheran Church in Jerseyville.  During their 45 years of marriage, Jeanette was a homemaker, who loved to bowl, participating in various leagues in Jerseyville throughout the years, and was a basball fanatic, having strong ties to the Chicago Cubs, and the San Francisco 49ers and Chicago Bears splitting her support in football.Surviving are her husband, Robert Price of Jerseyville; a son, Doug Price of Black Diamond, Wa.; two daughters & sons in law, Theresa & Mark Berry of Ozark, Ark., and Melissa & Robert Freand of Jerseyville; seven grandchildren, Shane Price, Andrew Price, Kyle Flannigan, Garrett Freand, Kirsten Freand, Wyatt Freand; three great grandchildren, Ethan, Gracie and Anthony.She was preceded in death by her mother & step father, Tessie & Paul Beiermann; her father & step mother, Henry & Jeanie Price; and a grandson, Eric Price on June 16, 2004.Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville, where funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday.Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Jerseyville.Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.
