Azelee Mable Lemons, 79, passed away at 2:36 pm on Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St Louis, Missouri.
She was born on August 19, 1930 in Zalma, MO, the daughter of Horace and Dova (Cato) Crites.
She was formerly married to the late Glenn V. Lemons. They were married on June 15, 1949.
Azelee was employed as a cap operator at Olin Corporation for 27 years retiring in 1994. She was deeply devoted to her family and she loved to spend time with her grandchildren. .
She is survived by three children and their spouses, Lanny & Willie Lemons of Litchfield, Belinda & James Smith of Mt. Olive and Mark & Joyce Lemons of Wood River; her grandchildren, Clorinda O’Dell, Jason Lemons, Josh Lemons, Guss Pasley, Tonya Hunter, Trace Pasley, Ashley Lemons, Danielle Lemons and Kyle Lemarr; her great grandchildren, Dillon Hunter, Rilynn Pasley, Marcus Lemons, Little Jason Lemons and Trinity Pasley; a brother, Junior Crites of Edwardsville and four sisters, Norma Issac of Kinder, MO, Vivian Haskel of Florissant, MO, Illean Welch of East Alton and Emma Price of St. Louis, MO and several nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed and always loved by everyone who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Bruce Lemons, three brothers, Elman, Woodrow and Ernie Crites and a sister, Mildred Fee.
In celebration of her life, visitation will be from 9 am until funeral services at 10 am on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens Chapel in Bethalto.
