Ty E. Hancock, 54, passed away at 8:10 p.m. Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at Alton Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Wood River Feb. 19, 1956 to Margaret (Relaford) Hancock of Wood River and Everett Hancock, who preceded him in death.
A certified nursing assistant, he worked for Missouri Baptist Medical Center.
In addition to his mother, surviving are three sons, Ty (Dee) Hanock II of Iowa, Chad Hancock of Wood River, and William (Amanda) Hancock of Granite City; five daughters, Misty (Jesse) Donaldson of Iowa, Annabelle (Tommy) Lisenbee of Rushville, Ill., Vickie (Bryan) Rose of Pekin, Ill., Cathy (David) Hancock of Hartford, and Camissa (Alex) Stevenson of Worden; 21 grandchildren; one great grandchild; a nephew; a great nephew; and two brothers, David (Cathy) Hancock of Hartford and Leonard (Monica) Hancock of Wood River.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Friday, March 26 at Paynic Home for Funerals in Rosewood Heights, where Marty Smay will officiate services at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 27.
Burial will be at Mt. Gilead Cemetery in Hettick, Ill.
