Faye M. Brown, 82, passed away at 8:10 a.m. Sunday, March 21, 2010 at Eldercare of Alton.
Born Dec. 19, 1927 in Greene County, Ill., she was the daughter of John D. and Goldie (Meyer) Chapman. They preceded her in death.
She worked as a selector at Owens-Illinois Glass Co. in Alton.
In 1944 she married Henry Rust. She later married Raymond Brown. They also preceded her in death.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Brenda Rust of Bethalto; two granddaughters, Alexandra and Brittany; two sisters, Grace Payne of Tandem Point, Mo. and Rosa Jean Kincaid of Shipman; five brothers, John Joseph Chapman of Jerseyville, Thurman Douglas Chapman of Palmyra, Robert Earl Chapman of Dorchester, George Chapman of Batchtown, and Leonard Chapman of Shipman; several nieces and nephews; a sister-in-law, Florence Prater of Wood River; her dear friends Bob and Cathy Rose of Medora; and her two cats, Sissy and Buddy.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, March 24 at Paynic Home for Funerals in Rosewood Heights, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 25.
Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
