Thelma C. Balicki, 82, passed away at 6:30 a.m. Thursday, March 18, 2010 at her home.
Born Aug. 14, 1927 in Monroe, Mich., she was the daughter of Arthur and Rose (Bogedain) Bomia.
She married Benedict J. "Ben" Balicki Nov. 28, 1945 in Monroe. He survives.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Barbara and Dennie Hodge of Jerseyville, Judy and Edward Steed of Bethalto, and Benita Balicki of Wood River; four sons and a daughter-in-law, Larry Balicki of Chino, Calif., mark Balicki of Tacoma, Wash., Stephen and Tina Balicki of Wood River, and Gregory Balicki of Alton; seven grandchildren, Jennifer, Jason, Dennis, James, Natasha, Ashley, and David John; four great grandchildren, Tyler, Jacob, Caitlin, and Lucas; and a sister, Matilda Waldbogle of Monroe, Mich.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Mildred Johnson and Margaret Gonia; and three brothers, Frank, Arthur and Roger Bomia.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date at Paynic Home for Funerals in Rosewood Heights.
