James R. Nunn, 83, passed away at 9:55 a.m. Monday, March 15, 2010 at St. Anthony’s Hospital.
Born May 15, 1926 in Stonefort, Ill., he was the son of Sebern and Eva (Holloway) Nunn.
He married Eva Lee Jacobs Apr. 18, 1944 in St. Charles, Mo. She passed away in 2006.
An Operations Supervisor, he worked for American Oil Co. for 40 years, retiring in 1984.
He is survived by two daughters, Jayme (Mitch) Scroggins of Edwardsville and Sandy Davis of Bryan, Tex.; a son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Debbie Nunn of Eldred; 8 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and an uncle, Kenneth Holloway of Rosewood Heights.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, March 17 at Paynic Home for Funerals in Rosewood Heights, and will continue Thursday, March 18 at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Rosewood Heights from 10 a.m. until services at 11 a.m. Rev. Daryl Fansler will officiate.
Interment will be at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.
