Leorene Peterson, age 96, formerly of Alton, IL, peacefully passed away Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at St. Patrick’s Residence of Naperville, IL.
Born July 13, 1913 in Alton, she was the daughter of Robert and Pearl (Cato) Scoggins.
Cherished mother of Sid (Carole) Peterson of Lisle, IL. Loving grandmother of Tracie Myers, Rick (Tara) Myers, Jerry (Laura) Myers, Scott (Ann Marie) Peterson, and Steve (Melissa) Peterson. Great Grandmother of Zachary, Emily, Kendal, Madison, Jake, Cade, and Ella. Fond mother-in-law of Dick (Kathy) Myers of Godfrey.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Burl Peterson on September 12, 1989, daughter Sharon Myers in 1969 and foster sister, Helen Davis in 2006.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 16, 2010at Gent Funeral Home in Alton.
Burial will be at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey. Reverend David Olson will officiate.
