Charlotte M. Mitchell, 93, passed away at 8:50 p.m. Monday March 1, 2010 at her residence.
She was born on January 7, 1917 in Beardstown, IL the daughter of John E. and Ruth Marie (Swartz) Maynard.
Charlotte married Norval John Mitchell in February 1925, he preceded her in death on February 17, 1996.
Charlotte worked at the Shell Oil Company in their lab during WW II, she also worked for the State Of Illinois as a case worker for over 20 yrs. She and her husband were very active in the Eastern Star. And she loved quilting for her family and friends.
She is survived by one sister; Alice Dugger of Glen Carbon, Il. and many Neices and Nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Jayne and brother's John and Paul.
Per her wishes cremation rites where accorded.
A private burial will be at a later date at the Upper Alton Cemetery, in Alton, Il.
