Hilda M. "Mickey" Mihalich, 85, formerly of East Alton, passed away at 4:50 a.m. Sunday, February 21, 2010 at Bethalto Care Center.
Born Nov. 12, 1924 in Wood River, she was the daught3er of Lester and Stella (Kitson) Crocker.
She married Peter Mihalich Dec. 5, 1947 in East Alton. He passed away Nov. 23, 1998.
An LPN, she worked at Alton Memorial Hospital for 20 years before her retirement.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Louie Flores of Hanford, Calif.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Lewis and Nancy Mihalich of Prairietown and Paul and Barbara Mihalich of Granite City; three grandchildren, Jeff Mihalich and Pete and Riann Flores; four great grandchildren, Ethan Matthew, Vanessa London, Ella Prudence, and Jacob Alex; and two sisters, Rose Plesek of Westminster, Calif. and Mabel Crocker of Fieldon.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Doris Holloway; and a brother, Lester Crocker.
A committal service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 25, at the Chapel at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto. Rev. Joel Lohr will officiate.
