Robert Henry "Tank" Feltes, 62 of Riesel, TX passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2010 in Waco, Texas.
He was born on September 13, 1947 in Alton, IL, the son of Richard & Fern Feltes.
Robert served in the U.S. Army, serving in Vietnam with 2 tours of duty and receiving 2 Purple Hearts. He worked at Owens Illinois Glass as a supervisor for over 30 years. He was an avid fisherman and hunter.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Feltes; his mother, Fern Orban and her husband, Dennis; two daughters and sons-in-law, Monica & Jim French and Michelle & Chris VanWinkel; 2 brothers and sisters-in-law, Toby & Kim Feltes and Ricky & Lisa Feltes; a sister and brother-in-law, Jackie & Mike Yarborough; a step daughter, Raylynn Rosen & her husband, Louis; three grandchildren and step grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Feltes and his first wife and the mother of his children, Karla Feltes.
A memorial service with military honors will be at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens Chapel at 11 am on Saturday, February 20, 2010 with Pastor Mark Hofferber officiating. . Friends and family are welcome to gather from 10 am until service time at 11 am.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
