Vance E. Ewing, age 40, passed away at 7:10 a.m. on Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at his residence in Alton
He was born in Wood River December 13, 1969 the son of Robert N. and Helen (Savage) Ewing
Vance enjoyed riding motorcycles, playing drums and listening to music he also enjoyed practicing karate and weight lifting.
He was a welder and carpenter by trade and then worked with his mother rehabbing homes.
He is survived by his mother; Helen Savage Gray of Alton, his father Robert N. Ewing of E. Alton, and six children; Sara Ewing of Jerseyville, Kayla Ewing of Alton, Whitney Ewing of Jerseyville, Justin Ewing of Jerseyville, Austin Ewing, of Jerseyville and Summer Ewing of Wood River, Il. two brothers and their spouses; James and Melinda Cross of Alton, Il. and Robbie and Beckey Ewing of Alton, Il. four sister; two grandchildren; Dakota Day and Jazmine Pregler.
Visitation will be from 10 am to 12 noon, Friday, January 29, 2010 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton, IL. Cremation will follow.
