Betty J. Cranmer, 82, died at 3:47 p.m. Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at Alton Memorial Hospital. Born November 7, 1927 in Alton, she was the daughter of Charles and Christina (Hines) Lewis.
On February 14, 1946 in Alton, she married Eugene "Crutch" Cranmer. He survives.
Also surviving are two daughters; Judy Wineinger and her husband Garry of Ocala, FL, and Terry Kusterman and her husband Ronald of Alton, two sons; Jimmy Cranmer and his wife Terri and Godfrey, and Kelly Cranmer and his wife Sheri of Alton, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her son, Eugene H. "Butch" Cranmer Jr.
Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at Gent Funeral Home in Alton where funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday. Burial will be at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto. Pastor Randy S. Fischer will officiate. Memorials may be made to the Mustard Seed Peace Project, 856 Chouteau, Godfrey, IL 62035 or Messiah Lutheran Church in Alton.
