Zeph Alan Johnson, 65, passed away at 1:45 am Wednesday December 23, 2009 at Christian Hospital Northeast.
He was born on January 16, 1944 in Alton, IL, the son of Zeph Franklin & Malinda (Heeren) Johnson.
He married Alma Elaine Chestnut on July 10, 1970 at Zion Lutheran Church in Bethalto. She survives.
He served his country for four years with the Air Force and retired from CBW Transport in 2004.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Darin and Mike Johnson, both of Meadowbrook; one sister and brother-in-law, Diania & Bub Pruett of Meadowbrook and one brother, Gerald Johnson of Gillespie.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Melvin John & Arlyn Reinke.
Per his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. No services are scheduled.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the National Kidney Foundation.
