Joshua Lee Headrick, 19, beautiful beloved son of LeRoy and Patrice Headrick; beloved brother of Tabitha and Rebecca, is now in the heavenly realms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ where only joy abides. He was born into the Headrick family in Alton on June 18, 1990.
He was a 2008 high school graduate of Westminster Christian Academy in Edwardsville. He studied criminal law at Lewis and Clark Community College. His desire was to be a police officer. He was involved with the Alton Police Department Explorer Program.
Left behind to cherish the memories of his young life are his sister and her husband, Tabitha and Josh Hand of Alton, his sister Rebecca of Godfrey, his paternal grandmother, Ellen Fulkerson of Kentucky, his Godfather, Carl Cox of Alton, and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. He was an uncle-to-be. He was preceded in death by his infant brother, Jeremiah, his maternal grandparents, Charles and Dorothy Milford, his paternal grandfather, LeRoy Headrick Sr., and his loving Godmother, Charlene K. Cox. Josh had a very loving and giving heart.
Every person who crossed paths with Josh will miss his smile that lit up the room. He will be forever young. Funeral services will be private. Visitation will be from 2:00-6:00 p.m. Monday at Gent Funeral Home in Alton.
