Kay Wannamaker, 73, died at 10:31 a.m. Monday, December 14, 2009 at her residence. She was born June 1, 1936 in Plymouth, Illinois to Paul and Loretta (Stockwell) Stewart.

On March 29, 1977 in Godfrey she married Joseph E. Wannamaker and he preceded her in death on July 24, 2007. She was retired from Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville as an executive secretary. She was a member of 12th St. Presbyterian Church, Alton Services League, Leisure friends and a member of The National Woodcarvers Association.

She is survived by one son; Stewart and Patty Bramley of Bloomington, IL, three stepsons; David and Rita Wannamaker of Alton, Mark and Audrey Wannamaker of Alton and Joe Wannamaker or Colorado, ten grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, one sister; Becky and Jack Malone of Godfrey and two nieces and one nephew. Memorial service will be Saturday, December 19th at 11:00 a.m. at 12th St. Presbyterian Church with the Reverend David Olson to officiate. Memorials may be made to 12th St. Presbyterian Church.
