John A. Siatos, 45, died at 6:00 a.m. Thursday, December 10, 2009 at his home in Godfrey. Born February 5, 1964 in Alton, he was the son of Demetrios "Jim" Siatos of Alton and the late Helen Joan (Maggos) Siatos.

He worked for Ameren UE as a system relay technician for over 20 years. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alton, the Alton Wood River Sportsman's Club, and the Alton Motorboat Club. He enjoyed boating, fishing and hunting. He loved riding four wheelers with his son and he loved listening to music. On April 24, 1993 in Alton, he married the former Susan T. Wieseman. She survives.

Also surviving is a son Alexander "Alex" Siatos of Godfrey, a brother and sister-in-law, William and Marjorie Siatos of Alton, a sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Rodney Reif of Carrollton, his in-laws, Francis and Jenny Wieseman of Bunker Hill, two brothers-in-law, Mike Wieseman and Lisa Gilley of Bunker Hill, and Nick and Lacey Wieseman of Bunker Hill, four nieces; Kristen and Brad Fisher, Katie Reif, Jenny Reif, Kamryn Wieseman, and two nephews; Jimmy Siatos and Steven Gilley. He was preceded in death by his mother.

Visitation will be from 3:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alton. Father Shawn Monahan will officiate. Burial will be at Upper Alton Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Alex Siatos donation account at U.S. Bank or to the family.
