Paul H. Eads, age 80, passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at 10:30 am at the Jerseyville Manor Nursing Home, Jerseyville, Il.
He was born November 11, 1929 in Lexington, Kentucky the son of William and Ellen (Mathis) Eads.
Paul married Juanita P. Douglas on August 12, 1970 in Metropolis, Il. she preceded him in death on July 17, 2008.
He served his country in the United States Army, 82nd Air borne Division, Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He was employed as a Captain on a tow boat for Twenty-two years, working for Cargill Grain. Paul loved to get up early in the morning and dig in the dirt as metal detecting was his favorite hobby, he loved to find various elusive old coins, and relics which he saved through the years.
Paul is survived by twp step-sons; Larry Will of McLeansboro, and Gary Will of South Roxana, and a Grandson; Eric Will of New Jersey. Paul will be dearly missed by his supportive care giver Nephew and Niece; Denny and Sandy Doerr of Alton, Il. and an infinite number of friends from Glenhaven Gardens, Alton, Il. and extended close family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents, spouse, one brother and two sisters.
Private burial will be at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto, Il.
In leau of flowers memorials may be made to; the American Cancer society.
