Charlotte A. Smith, age 71, passed away Monday, November 16, 2009 at 8:34 p.m. at Christian Hospital North East, in St. Louis, MO.
She was born June 10, 1938 in Alton, IL, the daughter of the late Paul and Earline (Fessler) Kinney.
Charlotte was employed as a workman's comp. claim adjuster for the Missouri Employer Mutual Insurance, retiring in 2002. She attended church at the St. Clare's Villa Chapel. She was a former Girl Scout Volunteer for 15 years and enjoyed, painting, ceramics, crocheting and was an avid bowler.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Diane & Jeff Dugger of Brighton and Pene & Brett Hanson of Delhi; two sons and daughter-in-law, Ronnie & Bobbie Smith of Hardin and Jim Smith of Rushville, IL; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Omer Helmers.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, November 20, 2009 at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home, in Godfrey, IL.
Memorial may be made to the American Cancer Society and or the American Diabetes Association.
