Vivian E. Stephens, 95, passed away at 10:38 pm Thursday, November 12, 2009 at Calturner Nursing Home in Scottsville, Kentucky with her family by her side.
She was born on April 30, 1914, the daughter of Thomas & Bertha Robinson.
She married Ernest Stephens on March 6, 1943 in Benton, MO and he preceded her in death in 1962.
She was a member of the 1st Southern Baptist Church of Meadowbrook.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie & Dallas Stephens of Scottsville, KY; nine grandchildren; several great grandchildren, and several great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by two sons, James Edgar Stephens and Joseph Beck; and one sister, Dora Mae Beck.
In celebration of her life, visitation will be from 2 to 4 pm Sunday at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf in Bethalto where funeral services will be held at 1 pm Monday.
Burial will follow at Upper Alton Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the 1st Southern Baptist Church of Meadowbrook.
