Kathleen Diane Goode Hawkins, 54, passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at her home.
Born Aug. 4, 1955 in Alton, she was the daughter of Robert Goode and Barbara J. (Hardesty) Goode Easley.
A 1973 graduate of Roxana High School, she married Clarence Daniel "Danny" Hawkins, Jr. Oct. 7, 1978 in Clinton, Ill. He survives.
Although she had worked as an LPN for hospitals and nursing homes, most of her time was lovingly spent at home with her family. Her favorite thing in the world was being a grandma. She also loved taking trips to Mexico, taking pictures, and pajamas. She was in pajamas more often than not.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her father of Cottage Hills; two daughters and sons-in-law, Karly and Leetis Floyd of Godfrey and Jessica and Keith Hoorman of Wood River; a son, Clarence Daniel Hawkins III of Rosewood Heights; four grandchildren, Christian and Payton Floyd and Jayln and Kensley Hoorman; two sisters, Vicki Garvey of Edwardsville and Julie McGinnis of Rogue River, Ore.; 11 nieces and nephews; 10 great nieces and nephews; and her father-in-law, Clarence D. Hawkins, Sr. of Mt. Vernon.
She was preceded in death by her mother; her son, Jared R. Hawkins; and a brother, Michael Goode.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25 at Paynic Home for Funerals in Rosewood Heights, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 26.
Burial will follow at Woodland Hill Cemetery in East Alton.
Memorials may be made to the family.
