Ethelmae "Mae" Heinz, 83, passed away at 9:25 am on Monday, October 19, 2009 at Eunice Smith Nursing Home in Alton with her family by her side.
She was born on January 31, 1926 in Belleville, IL, the daughter of William J. & Lorretta (Driver) Stock.
She married Eugene Heinz on September 8, 1945 in Belleville, IL. He passed away on June 13, 2005.
She worked as a catalog manager at JC Penny until her retirement in 1983. She liked to bowl, fish and most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her granddaughters.
She is survived two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard & Carol Heinz of Moro and Robert & Beverly Heinz of Rogers, AR; two granddaughters and their spouses, Deborah & Steve Long of Holiday Shores and Karen & Steve Burk of Wood River and one great granddaughter, Katelyn Long.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Delmar Stock and a sister, Verna Hudson.
Per her requests, cremation rites were accorded.
Memorials may be given to the Hope Animal Rescue in Alton
