Rosemary "Stormer" Jarden, 93 passed away at 12:15 am Thursday October 1, 2009 at Eldercare Nursing Home in Alton.
She was born on April 5, 1916 in Alton, the daughter of Henry and Martha (Roberts) Stormer.
She married Bley Edward Jarden on May 29, 1936 and he preceded her in death on January 20, 2000.
As an active member of Cherry Street Baptist Church, she was involved in missionary circle and daily vacation bible school. Presently, she is a member of Faith Baptist Church in Godfrey. She was very active in PTA, the Mother's Club, Brownies, Girl Scouts and Meals on Wheels for 10 years.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Tamara Kaye & Patrick Michael Jordan of Wood River and Carol & Robert Wooff of Godfrey; four grandchildren and a spouse, Michael Patrick Jordan of Wood River, Robert "Bobby" & Brenda Wooff of Edwardsville, Martha "Marti" Wooff of Alton and Bley Earl Wooff of Alton; three great granddaughters and a spouse Natalie & Adam Gwillim of Brighton, Cory Fink of Edwardsville, and Lauren Wooff of Brighton; two great grandson, Aaron Wooff of Wood River and Bley Edward Wooff of Godfrey, two nephews and spouses, Denny & Judy Jarden of Quincy and Timothy & Dana Jarden of Alton.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Trudi Fink, and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Irving & Dorothy Jarden.
Private family graveside service will be held at Alton City Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Mississippi Valley Christian School.
