Eileen T. Meiser, 85, passed away at 5:35 a.m. Monday, September 21, 2009 at Bethalto Care Center.
Born Jan. 21, 1924 in Crocker, Mo., she was the daughter of George and Virginia (Poulson) Relaford.
She married George R. Meiser June 8, 1943 in St. Charles, Mo. He passed away Jan. 30, 1995.
The homemaker was a 40 year member of the First General Baptist Church of Wood River.
Survivors include 2 sons and daughters-in-law, George E. and Charleen Meiser of Bethalto and William T. and Toni Meiser of Cottage Hills; four grandsons and their wives, Todd and Brenda Meiser, Tom and Melissa Meiser, Russell and Hayley Meiser, and Jimmy and Laura Meiser; and nine great grandchildren, Tory, Madyson, Ethan, Hunter, Hannah, Danny, Breann, Ericka, and Lily.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Robert Meiser.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24 at Paynic Home for Funerals in Rosewood Heights, where Rev. T.L. Montgomery will officiate services at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 25.
Interment will follow at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
Memorials may be made to the First General Baptist Church of Wood River.
