Oscar M. Weber, age 73, passed away at 11:10 am, Monday, September 7, 2009 at his home with his family by his side.

He was born in Pana, IL on September 15, 1935, the son of Edward & Frances (Weekley) Weber.

He married Sheila Hunt on December 19, 1990 in Jerseyville, Illinois. She survives.

He worked as a furnace builder for 29 years retiring in 1995 from Olin Corporation in East Alton. He previously had worked for Jordan Farms. He was a member of the Meadowbrook Assembly of God Church and the Wood River Moose. He loved to tinker in the garage, camping and most of all spending time with his family and friends.

Besides his wife he is survived by his children and their spouses, Brian Weber of Dallas/Fort Worth, TX, Mike & Stacy Lewey of Bunker Hill, Rhonda & Jim Hebblethwaite of Wood River, Cheryl & Ron Coleman of Staunton and Mary Bort of Carlinville; 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; 4 sisters and a brother-in-law, Darlene Cox of Pana, Il, Doris & Bob Milsap of AZ, Veeta Allen and Vera Klee both of Pana, IL and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Eddie & Delbert Weber.

Memorials may be made to the Meadowbrook Assembly of God Church.

A celebration of Life memorial service will be held Sunday, September 13, 2009 at 7:00 pm at the Meadowbrook Assembly of God Church with Pastor Alta Vaughn officiating.
